We will be using the reading tracking sheet to keep us on track for our reading goals.

Today,  you  will wrap up the work for this week.

First we will share our thinking on the article ““Truth and Reconciliation Commission urges Canada to confront ‘cultural genocide’ of residential schools.” Revise #5 using the anchor in class. You need to hand these in by the end of class.

Revise #5 using the anchor in class. You need to hand these in by the end of class if you haven’t already.

Complete your sign up for Sesame and the Global Perspectives wiki (see you email to activate).

Add your first “snap” (or comment) to tell me what your weekly reading goal is.

Send me an image or avatar that will represent you in Sesame.

Complete the wiki scavenger hunt and submit via this website.

Choose a page on the Global Perspectives wiki to edit, and sign up on the clipboard.

And finally, you need to begin editing your chosen wiki page. See the anchor chart for what types of things to edit.

Have a terrific weekend!

Remember to read!

Today we will set our reading rates.

You want to establish a weekly goal and track your reading progress.

I hope that today you will be able to log into Sesame and record that reading goal.

I will be introducing the wiki–Global Perspectives: A textbook for teens by teens. We will make a note about audience, purpose, conventions of the wiki (or web) page, and design elements. Finally, you will go on a wiki page scavenger hunt.

You will find the scavenger hunt here.
