We will read our chosen book for our Literature Circle groups and track our reading.

As you will be meeting to discuss these books, it is important for you to track your thinking throughout the book as you read. You have a tool for this: Literature Group Bookmarks! Today we begin a new routine: Look at your bookmark and choose a prompt under the headings  “Thinking about how you read” and “Thinking about what you read”. On paper or post-it notes, write about what you think or what you noticed as you read today.  You will use these notes when you meet with your groups to discuss your books.

This week, we met with schools via the Google Hangout. We discussed many ideas about what the most important recommendations for reconciliation are. One question keeps popping up during the discussions: What does reconciliation mean?! Today we will create our class definition and think about some examples and post it in the room.

What it looks like to me.

Finally, we need to use our inquiry planner to help us choose a topic, find an article to read and annotate, and finally, make a research note.
